Finding out more about Gloucestershire Airport

As everyone knows, I am an uber guber plane geek, and like to take a quick trip every now and then down to Gloucestershire airport (it’s only 2 mins away from home in the car) and just incase anyone is wondering I did not move to the house because of the airport.

While sitting at the airport I was thinking about the fact that it is expanding to allow more consistency to flights in decrement weather and also bigger planes, but what kind of planes have landed at the airport in the past? With this in mind I asked Gloucestershire Airport and got the following responses…

and nice to see a Hercules parked up….

And this one passed right over my house (very low) with it’s landing gear down (but didn’t land)…

But then this one impressed me the most….

The airport seems to have changed a bit, but wow nice Concorde… in geek speak, pretty beautiful!

Random Ramblings….

Hi all, I am just playing with tumblr today, seeing what it can and cannot do. Seems quite cool, however i am not convinced that it is particularly user friendly though! What are your thoughts?

HMS Ark Royal in Portsmouth Dockyard waiting for a decision on it’s fate. Great aircraft carrier which unfortunately has started to be stripped down. Soon it will probably meet it’s sister ship HMS Invincible in a Turkish breakers yard.
